General Terms and Shipping Policy
By entering the Self-stable Foods website (“Website”) you (a) acknowledge that you have read, understand, and expressly agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions (including our privacy and shipping policy); (b) agree to follow these Terms and Conditions and all applicable laws and regulations governing our Sites; and (c) represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, are a resident of the United States or lawfully consent to U.S. jurisdiction for all purposes on our Site as if a resident, and have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into these Terms and Conditions (either on behalf of yourself or the entity you represent if you are using this Website on behalf of an entity). If you do not agree with the foregoing, you are not authorized to use the Website.
During the account registration process you will be asked to select a unique password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under the password. You agree to exit from your account at the end of each session. Please notify us at info@selfstablefoods.com of any potential unauthorized use(s) of your account, or breach of security.
Product sales and subscription sales take place at our shop in California. Title to, and ownership of, all product passes from Self-stable Foods to you, the buyer, in California, and buyer takes all responsibility for the product being transported from California to the buyer’s selected destination. By placing an order, you authorize Self-stable Foods to act on your behalf in arranging for transportation of the product at your direction. You can will-call at the shop or request that we contact a carrier on your behalf. Our shopping cart provides real-time carrier calculated shipping rates based on size, weight, destination, and delivery time to help you choose your carrier. Alternatively, you may choose to pick up the product directly from Self-stable Foods inside Stateside Crafts, or make independent delivery arrangements. California Sales tax will be applied based on the Self-stable Foods physical presence in California.
Due to the perishable nature of Self-stable Foods product we are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box or a military address. All transactions are void where prohibited by law. Self-stable Foods is not responsible for weather related damage. Common carriers do not provide climate control over shipments. The purchaser assumes all risk brought on by the weather during shipment. Damage related to the weather and climate during shipment is not the responsibility of Self-stable Foods, Stateside Crafts, or the common carrier.
In the event that we pull your purchased product incorrectly, we will pay for the return shipping and exchange of the correct order. Otherwise, there are no returns or refunds on purchases.
Price and availability are subject to change without notice. While we aim to fill orders the next business day, due to demand, availability, and holidays, some orders may take a little longer. When you place an order and an item is out-of-stock, we'll contact you in a timely fashion to ask if you would like the item replaced with an item of the same value or if you'd like to have a refund for that product.
Venue & Choice of Law: All disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Website, including purchases, will be brought in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, unless the subject matter of the dispute arises exclusively under federal law, in which event the dispute will be submitted to the United States District Court of the Central District of California. The parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those courts. California law will govern the construction, interpretation, validity, and enforcement of these Terms and Conditions and will be applied in any mediation or judicial proceeding to resolve all disputes, except to the extent the subject matter of the dispute arises exclusively under federal law, in which event the federal law will govern.
Attorneys’ Fees: In any action or proceeding in connection with the use of this Website, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover against the other its reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs, in addition to any other relief awarded by the court (including, but not limited to, the cost of Contract Litigation Insurance policy).

We collect information from you when you register on our Website, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or respond to a survey. When ordering or registering on our Website, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your: name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number or credit card information and birth date for alcohol purchases.

All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our Website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
